Who-ville hair day

Wednesday, March 4, 2009 - It was Whoville hair day at school. I wanted my hair to be like Cindy Lou Who. Mom looked up a picture on the internet. We figured out how to make my hair stand straight up.

Everyone in my class wanted to touch it.

I got a prize for having really good and crazy hair. The prize was a little "Sam-I-Am" holding green eggs and ham.

Valentine's Day and other accomplishments

2.14.2009 - I love Valentine's Day! I made all of the valentine's I gave to my classmates. My school put on a special breakfast and Mom took Carter, Bree, Ellie and I to it. We got to wear our pajama's all day at school.

During the breakfast everyone put their names in a bucket for a raffle. My name was drawn and I won this cute little teddy bear in a basket. I shared the chocolates that came with it with everyone in my family.

I walked 50 laps in walking club. Everyone who had done 25 or more laps got a prize. Two other people in my class got a prize, but they was smaller than mine. I got to get one from the big brown box in Mrs. McNight's office.

I get a toe token for every 25 laps I do during the lunch recess on Tuesdays and Thursdays. So far I've gotten 3 toe tokens. I hope to get a lot more.

I am proud to wear my toe tokens as a necklace.

Little House Celebration at the Eagle Public Library

Sat. Feb. 7, 2009 - We went to the library for a family event with activities related to the book, Little House in the Big Woods. We got to visit multiple activity stations. The activities included butter making, hair braiding, washing, ironing, and cleaning up. Aunt Carlee met us there with Tyler and Christy. It was a lot of fun but I am sad that I didn't get to play checkers or whittle bar soap.

Bree's favorite station was baking. She thought the play dough was really cookie dough.

This was my favorite station... getting my hair braided. I also like making a paper patch quilt.

This week

A lot of great things happened this week.

I got to wear the hoop earrings Santa gave me for Christmas.  I had to wait to wear them because it hadn't been 6 months since I got my ears pierced. 

 

Ms. Anderson lets us earn tickets by putting our head down on our desks after recess to calm us down. Every Friday she puts the tickets in a basket and the Star Student  draw two names out.  My name was drawn out so Ms. Anderson let me pick a prize out of the treasure chest.  I chose this teddy bear that I have named Fluffy.

Oma gave me a bulb to take care of. I put it in the window cell and watered it every few days. I watched it grow a little bit every day. After a week or two, flowers popped out.  I love to look at them but the smell isn't so great.

Being sick is no fun!

January 23-27, 2009 - I started getting sick on Friday, mostly my head just hurt.  I stayed home from school but by lunch time I was feeling better so Mom drove me and I finished the school day. Saturday morning my throat really hurt so Mom and Dad gave me lots of children's Tylenol plus Cold throughout the day. On Sunday I completely lost my voice and I was sad because I couldn't sing in Primary. Monday morning I woke up with a fever. I slept all morning and didn't come out of my room until 2 pm. I felt better Tuesday but because I had a fever the night before I couldn't go to school again. I miss my voice and I can't wait until it is all the way back.

Sunday, January 18, 2009 - I was asked to give a talk in Primary. The theme was, "I am a spirit child of my Heavenly Father." I practiced my talk all week and when it came time to give my talk in Primary I wasn't scared or nervous.

Swimming at the YMCA

Sat. January, 17, 2009. Mom arranged for us to go to the YMCA with our friends, the Millers. I haven't seen my friend Kenedee in a long time so it was nice to spend a few hours swimming with her. We spent most of our time going down the really big water slide. It was a lot of fun.

I went skiing on friday with my cousin's I had a lot of fun.

January 5, 2009 - I went back to school from brake .  I got to ride the bus again.  i ride orange bus.  The number  of the bus is 817.  I sit by Stella and Gracie.                                                                                                                                                                                 

Ellie's blessing

Jan. 3, 2009 - Daddy gave Ellie a name and a blessing. We had the blessing at Oma and Opa's house. A lot of our family came. After we ate yummy cinnamon rolls, fruit, and quiche. Then we got our ski gear and went up to Bogus to go skiing.

Jan. 1, 2009 - Hobinae came for the first time to our house. Grandma told us to put a shoe under the Christmas tree New Year's Eve. Then Hobinae would come at night and fill our shoes up with treats. 

Hobinae came! He brought me a notebook, some hello kitty crayons, an apple, and candy.

Yahtzee game

Santa brought our family Yahtzee for Christmas.  Mom taught me how to play and then on New Year's Eve Grandma and I played against each other.

Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Camden came from New Mexico for New Year's.

 I not only won the game, but I got 3 Yahtzee's. My score was 508 and Grandma's was 220.
