Father's Day
I'm so glad when daddy comes home. Glad as I can be. I clap my hands and shout for joy and climb up on his knee. I wrap my arms around his neck, hug him tight like this. Then I give him what? A great big kiss!
Happy Fathers Day!

Eagle Fun Days
For Eagle fun days there is a really great parade. For the first half, they pass out candy and other stuff. The second half is a wet and wild water parade. I got soaked! My cousin Tucker and my daddy stayed in the water fight the entire parade. It was very fun... but cold. After the parade was over we got to go look at a bunch of booths and look at cool stuff. Then we bought a funnel cake and cotton candy for a snack. I was sick so I didn't eat very much of the cotton candy.

Memorial Day weekend
I had a really fun Memorial Day weekend. We had a picnic at Merrill Park with my friend, Ava and her family. We got to take a walk down by the Boise River. It was a lot of fun!
Then we went to the Veteran's Cemetery to look at the graves and think about the freedom's we enjoy becuase so many people have served our country in the armed forces.
Monday we went to the lake for the first time this summer. The water was really cold and I got all the way in. Brrr.

Reading Rainbow Young Writer & Illistrator
About 2 months ago I noticed a poster in the Library inviting kids grades K-3 to write an original story and submit it to win a prize. The deadline was only 3 days away so I had to come up with a story quickly. It was a lot of fun to write and draw pictures. The title of my story was How the Easter Egg Hunt Began.

The other day my story came back in the mail with the following certificate. I can't wait to participate in the contest again next year.

May 16
On my weekend I went to the park with Carter. We climbed up high and played on the playset. We also had a picnic and went to library. I love the spring because it is not too hot and not too cold outside. We can play outside all day if we want to.

It finally got to be above 80 degrees outside. We were visiting Oma and Opa when Opa decided to test his sprinklers. I went and got my swimsuit on and had a lot of fun playing in them.

What I did over the weekend
I helped Mom make a birthday present for Bree. It is a crayon case and I ironed and sewed.
Bree's 2nd birthday was Saturday, April 25th and I gave her the crayon case first thing after breakfast. She really liked it.
This picture is for Aunt Jessi. She planted all these tulips and I love them. I am always asking mom to plant flowers but we never seem to stay in a house long enough. So, thanks Aunt Jessi!
Easter Fun
We like to dye eggs because it is fun and we can color them. It is fun to decorate eggs.
I dyed eggs with my cousins at Oma and Opa's house. Emma Doty, Carter, Christy Simpson, Aspen Doty, Bree, Tyler Simpson, McKayla
We had an Easter Eggs hunt at Oma and Opa's house.
This is my sister, Bree and she is almost 2 years old. She had fun searching for eggs.
My favorite part about the Easter Egg Hunt was opening the plastic eggs to find out what fun treasures where hidden inside.
The Easter Bunny came to our house and accidentally left a pencil in our bathroom. I found it and Mom and Dad said I could keep it. Next year I want to leave a note by my basket for the Easter Bunny.
This is Bree, Ellie, Carter, and me. The Easter bunny left me an apron, a chocolate bunny, and a plastic I am a Child of God bracelet.
My favorite part about Easter is thinking about how Jesus got resurrected on the first Easter and how happy everyone was.

Spring Break
I got my 2nd report card right before school let out for Spring Break and Track Break. My teacher, Ms. Anderson said that I am a wonderful student and that I excel in every academic area.

Spring Break was from March 23 - March 27. It began with Grandma and Aunt Kaydrielle coming to visit for a couple of days. Grandma spoiled us with food and other fun gifts. She also let me do her hair in fun and crazy ways.

Hannah, Hallie, and Stella came over to play for a couple of hours. I like to dress Bree up. Bree wanted me and Hannah to dress her up in this outfit . It's a duck outfit that used to belong to Aunt Kaydrielle!

We also went to Camel's Back Park in Boise with our friends, the Sampsons. Ava is close to my age and goes to Seven Oaks Elementary too. We like to climb!
Look at the view!
Its hard work.
We also went bowling. It was my first time and I like to bowl!

saint patrick day surprise!
3.17.09 This saint patrick's day I wrote a letter to a Leprechaun.

At night he left a note and it said:
He changed our closet around. He also switched our dresser drawers and the stuffed animals on our beds.
When I got ready for school, I kept my promise and wore a lot green.
My classmate Ellie left a note for the Leprechauns. It said, " please leave tracks!" While we were at PE and our Ms. Anderson was copying stuff, the Leprechaun messed up our room and left painted footprints on our desks. They went all the way to the treasure box where he left a green headband to remember him by. I left green on my desk and surprisingly he left my desk alone and didn't mess anything of mine up.

Who-ville hair day
Wednesday, March 4, 2009 - It was Whoville hair day at school. I wanted my hair to be like Cindy Lou Who. Mom looked up a picture on the internet. We figured out how to make my hair stand straight up.
