Thankful Tree

For Thanksgiving, Oma made a thankful tree. Every day my Mommy would read a fun fact about the first thanksgiving and then we would do a thankful activity.

For family home evening on Nov. 3rd we wrote our testimonies on a piece of papter and colored pictures. Oma will mail them to her sister who will gather them from the entire Price family and give them to Grandma and Granddad Price for Christmas.

Halloween - Sat, Oct. 31

We went to the Trunk-or-Treat at the church and loaded up on candy.
Then we came home and trick-or-treated around half of Oma and Opa's neighborhood.
Bree the bumble bee, McKayla the chef, Carter as the Incredible Hulk, and Ellie was a lady bug.

I decided at the last minute to be a chef. Oma already had the apron, bowl, and wisk. Mom made me a chefs hat that day. I loved how I could use my bowl and my candy bag.

Carving Pumpkins

We didn't have school the day before halloween and our friends the Millers came over along with Emma Cooper. First we carved pumpkins. It was gross pulling out all the "guts" but I had so much fun, I carved two pumpkins.

Next we decorated cookies. We tried to make them look like spider webs.

Drug Free Week

We had a spirit/drug free week at school. On the last day we got to wear a jersey for our favorite team. I didn't have a jersey but Mom had made me this Boise State skirt to wear for football games. Mom forgot to pick me up and it was raining outside. I waited in the rain until all the other kids had been picked up from school. Then I went to the office and they called her. She didn't even realize that it was time to come get me. Silly Mom.

Date with Mama

Saturday, Oct 18, 2009- Last June I went to the Saturday Market and saw beaded watches that were $30. I was saving my money up to buy one when Mom told me the R.S. was making them for $25. Then Brittany, Mom's friend, told us they were making them for $15!!! I went with mom to her church and got to pick out all my own beads and watch face. It was a lot of fun. When we were done Mom took me to the Saturday Market again to look around. I liked having Mom all to myself for a couple of hours.

Making Mr. Monster

Thurs, Oct. 15 - I didn't have school because of Parent/Teacher Conferences (Mom and Dad said I'm doing awesome). Mom put together a fun Halloween craft for me to do with Carter, Bree and our friends, Cache, Kennedee, and Paisley. First we drew pictures of what we wanted our monsters to look like, then we cut them out of felt and added the details. I really like my monster and had a fun time learning to sew with a needle and thread.

Clothes from Grandma

Thursday, Oct. 8 - It started getting cold outside and I only had one pair of pants to wear. Mom was looking for the best deal on jeans to buy me when she remembered Aunt Kaydrielle worked at the Children's Place and could hook us up. Grandma told Aunt Kaydrielle to buy all us kids some things we really needed and she would mail them up to us.
I was so excited when I got home from school a couple days later to see three packages on our front doorstep.

Not only where there clothes for us but Grandma sent toys, stickers, coloring books and other fun things.

I was really excited to see that I got a new coat. It is so bright and fun. I love it.

Carter, Bree, Ellie and me trying on our new clothes.

The Wizard of OZ

Thurs, Oct. 8, 2009 - We finished reading "The Wizard of Oz" and it's about a little girl named Dorothy who had an adventure trying to find her way back home to Kansas from a tornado. I loved it when she met the scarecrow, tinwoodman, and the lion. It thought it was funny how the scarecrow said he had no brains but he was always coming up with good ideas. The tinwoodman said he needed heart but he was always the loving one. The lion said he didn't have courage but he was the one who was brave enough to jump over rivers. Daddy was fun to listen to because he read with excitement.

General Conference

Saturday & Sunday, October 3rd & 4th - Genereal Conference was fun because we got to play bingo and we could listen to the Prophet and Apostles as they taught us. I learned to love my family, take the sacrament, and to be faithful.
In the middle of the Sunday session the audience was asked to sing along. The song was "How Firm a Foundation" and I new it because we've been practicing it in Primary. I really enjoyed being able to sing along loud and clear and I can't wait to sing it again for my Primary Program at church.

A Smiley Week
